Invincible Season 2 Update Teased for SDCC by Amazon

Invincible Season 2 Poster Teases the Emergence of New Allies

While fans wait for more Invincible, Prime Video has unveiled the first poster for Season 2 of its critically acclaimed animated superhero series.

The poster hints at the return of Mark Grayson (also known as Invincible), as well as his companions and new allies. Apart from putting together all the characters on a bus, the crowded new poster also teased that new episodes are “coming soon.”

The first season of Invincible saw the 17-year-old lead (voiced by Steven Yeun) coming to terms with the pressure of becoming a superhero, alongside battling villains along his journey. Expect an equally action-packed superhero tale from the second season.

While the official release date is up in the air, creator Robert Kirkman previously revealed that Mark Grayson will be facing a new enemy named Angstrom Levy — a villain with multiverse-jumping abilities.

Invincible Season 2 is “Almost There”

Invincible follows half-human, half-Viltrumite young superhero Mark Grayson, the son of Omni-Man Nolan Grayson (J.K. Simmons) and Debbie (Sandra Oh), as he begins to develop his own superpowers. However, his father turns out to be far from the hero he thought he was, leaving audiences with a thrilling conclusion to the first season. While other details about the second season are still unknown, fans can expect Mark Grayson to fight against the Viltrum Empire — an evil organization led by his father — with the help of his other superhero friends.

Besides Yeun, Oh, and Simmons, the voice cast of Invincible also includes Seth Rogen as Allen the Alien, Gillian Jacobs as Atom Eve, Andrew Rannells as William Clockwell, and Walton Goggins as Cecil Stedman, with Zachary Quinto, Ross Marquand, Jason Mantzoukas, Malese Jow, and Grey Griffin rounding out the voice cast for the new roster of Guardians of the Globe.
