According to Production List, Apple Studios’ untitled Formula One movie will feature Brad Pitt as a veteran racecar driver, who comes out of retirement to become the mentor of a younger driver. Through this opportunity, Pitt’s character will try to return to his former glory by being the newcomer’s partner on the track.
In addition, the listing also confirmed that production is currently scheduled to begin on July 7, and is expected to take place in Los Angeles and the UK. At the time of writing, the release date for the high-profile project has not yet been revealed.
Who’s Involved in the Formula One Movie?
The untitled project will be directed by Top Gun: Maverick director Joseph Kosinski from a screenplay written by Ehren Kruger. The racing film will be produced by Pitt’s production company Plan B along with legendary producer Jerry Bruckheimer.
