The first official Star Wars Outlaws gameplay footage was shown off during the 2023 Ubisoft Forward showcase on Monday.
What did the Star Wars Outlaws gameplay look like?
Just a day after revealing the game at Xbox’s gaming showcase, Ubisoft dove further into what gameplay will look like for Outlaws. In the ten-minute walkthrough, players got a look at protagonist Kay Vess. The preview follows Kay as she sneaks through a facility crawling with members of the Empire.
Check out the Star Wars Outlaws gameplay footage below:
Vess is able to command her pet, Nix, which allows her to attack enemies or interact with buttons she can’t get to herself. After a firefight that showcases the gunplay, Vess escapes from the facility and out into the world.
After escaping the facility, Vess hops into a hoverbike chase and shoots two enemies off of their own bikes. The footage ends with Vess taking to the stars, as she enters her spaceship and flies off. She then gets into a brief dogfight with another ship before engaging her hyperdrive and escaping the system.
Star Wars: Outlaws is coming out in 2024 (as was rumored) for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Developer Massive Entertainment heads up development. Ubisoft’s Annecy, Bucharest, Chengdu, Milan, Montpellier, Paris, Shanghai, and Toronto teams are also listed on the game’s website.
