Demon Slayer season 3 episode 7 Recap
Tanjiro is determined to cut Hantengu’s head off, but he doesn’t manage to cut the whole way through. Nezuko’s flame on the sword disappears, and Tanjiro senses a new demon behind him. Genya realizes Sekido absorbed the other demons to turn into a single demon. Sekido criticizes Tanjiro and Genya for attacking Hantengu. Tanjiro talks back, mentioning the hundreds of human lives they took.
Elsewhere, Muichiro is still trapped in Gyokko’s water prison. He attempts to do one attack, but it isn’t enough to set himself free. He thinks about how these are his final moments, but he sees an image of Tanjiro telling him nobody knows what the future holds. Gyokko enters the shed and sees Haganezuka fully concentrating on Tanjiro’s sword. He attacks Haganezuka, but Haganezuka doesn’t budge, and Gyokko gets annoyed with him.
The image of Tanjiro tells Muichiro not to give up. Kotetsu tries to get Muichiro out of the water prison, but Kotetsu is stabbed by a fish demon. Kotetsu blows bubbles into the water prison, giving Muichiro enough air to do an attack to free himself. Muichiro realizes he saw an image of Tanjiro because he has the same eyes as his father.
