Sony has unveiled the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium lineups for April 2023 about a week or so before they go live. The roster includes a ton of games from a ton of genres, however, Bethesda Softworks’ and its slew of (mostly) first-person games is represented heavily. Every title will also be available on April 18.
PlayStation Plus Extra April 2023 Lineup
This deluge of Bethesda games shows up in both tiers. 2020’s Doom Eternal is the newest one in the Extra tier and was widely beloved upon its release. Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is also another decorated shooter from the same publisher. Wolfenstein: The Old Blood, the stand-alone expansion that released after Wolfenstein: The New Order (which is also on PlayStation Plus Extra), wasn’t received quite as well, but still garnered decent review scores. The Evil Within is the last Bethesda-published game in the Extra tier, and it is a horror game that many found to be disappointing, especially when compared to Resident Evil 4, its most obvious influence.
- Doom Eternal (PS4, PS5)
- Kena: Bridge of Spirits (PS4, PS5)
- Riders Republic (PS4, PS5)
- Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus (PS4)

PlayStation Plus Premium April 2023 Lineup
The Premium lineup is exclusively made up of Bethesda games, as the month has the retro Doom titles and Dishonored: Definitive Edition. This PlayStation 4 remaster has all the DLC and some visual improvements when compared to the PS3 original, but it doesn’t run at 60 frames per second, even on PS5.
- Doom (PS4)
- Doom II (PS4)
- Doom 64 (PS4)
- Doom 3 (PS4)
- Dishonored: Definitive Edition (PS4)
