DC Studios Co-CEO James Gunn talked about Wonder Woman a bit over the weekend, stating that he’s trying to get more animated projects starring the iconic hero made.
Gunn first responded to a Twitter user stating that Wonder Woman has lots of potential for future stories in an animated series. The filmmaker agreed, and said, “Working on it.”
When another user stated that they thought Gunn was simply referring to further Wonder Woman mythos-based stories like the upcoming Paradise Lost show, Gunn clarified that he did mean that he’s working on getting more Wonder Woman animated projects made and that it was one of the first things he brought up to the people working on DC animated projects when he joined DC.
The DC Universe’s first phase, called Chapter One: Gods and Monsters, will feature a multitude of different movies and television shows. A few of the announced projects include a Batman and Robin-focused movie called The Brave and the Bold, a Supergirl movie titled Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, a Swamp Thing film, and multiple TV shows.
