The 1899 release date is near.

Good news for critically acclaimed series Dark fans. In a few days, Dark series creators Jantje Friese and Baran bo Odar will drop their latest mystery story, 1899. Here’s when to watch the upcoming series.

When to Watch 1899

Netflix set the 1899 release date at 3 a.m. ET/12 a.m. PT on Thursday, November 17. The streaming service will release all eight installments at once in the traditional Netflix style. The show comes from Friese and Odar, who created and produced 1899, in addition to serving as showrunners. Friese is also writing the series, while Odar is the director. The epic horror stars Emily Beecham, Aneurin Barnard, Andreas Pietschmann, as well as Miguel Bernardeau, and Maciej Musial. Additionally, Lucas Lynggaard Tønnesen, Rosalie Craig, Clara Rosager, Maria Erwolter, Yann Gael, Mathilde Ollivier, José Pimentão, Isabella Wei, Gabby Wong, Jonas Bloquet, Fflyn Edwards, Alexandre Willaume, Anton Lasser, and more.

“The eight episodes follow the mysterious circumstances around the voyage of an immigrant ship from Europe to New York,” reads the synopsis. “The passengers, all of different backgrounds and nationalities, are united by their hopes and dreams for a new century and their future abroad. When they discover a second ship adrift on the open sea that had gone missing for months, their journey takes an unexpected turn. What they find on board will turn their passage to the promised land into a nightmare-like riddle, connecting each of the passenger’s pasts through a web of secrets.”

Odar and Friese once more join forces with the talent behind the camera known from the Dark universe. In addition to the return of director of photography Nikolaus Summerer, 1899 will feature set designer Udo Kramer. Additionally, hair & makeup designer Christina Wagner and composer Ben Frost. The list of new collaborators includes casting director Lucy Bevan and Oscar-nominated costume designer Bina Daigeler. Additionally, Framestore’s integrated visualization, virtual production, and VFX are teams supervised by Christian Kaestner.
