Universal 1440 Entertainment has announced that Rachel True will be reprising her Half Baked role in the upcoming sequel, Half Baked 2.

True played Mary Jane Potman in the original Dave Chappelle and Jim Breuer-led comedy from 1998. With True set to play Potman once again, she joins a cast comprised of Dexter Darden, Moses Storm, Ramona Young, Ash Santos, Joel Courtney, and David Koechner. Frankie Muniz, comedian Jeff Ross, and original cast member Harland Williams are also slated to appear in Half Baked 2.
“We are thrilled to announce the next chapter in Half Baked, with new characters and a hilarious story that is sure to satisfy followers of the original film while attracting a whole new generation of fans,” said Glenn Ross, General Manager and Executive Vice President at Universal 1440 Entertainment. “The sequel features a talented young cast alongside Rachel True reprising her role as the fan-favorite ‘Mary Jane.’ We can’t wait to show audiences where the story goes from here.”

“When a member of their crew gets arrested for killing a New York City police horse by feeding it junk food, three slackin’ stoners are forced to get off their butts and raise bail by selling pot stolen from a pharmaceutical lab,” reads the original film’s synopsis. “It’s a risky plan but, hey, these are stand-up guys who would do anything to help out a friend in need.”
