Sony Pictures Dates Jonathan Levine’s Untitled Christmas Comedy for November 25, 2015

Sony Pictures has set Jonathan Levine’s untitled Christmas Eve comedy for a release on Wednesday, November 25, 2015, two weeks earlier than its originally-announced release date of December 11.

The film is directed by Jonathan Levine and features a screenplay by Levine (who also came up with the story) and Evan Goldberg, Kyle Hunter & Ariel Shaffir. In it, Ethan (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), Isaac (Seth Rogen) and Chris (Anthony Mackie) have been friends since childhood, and for a decade, their yearly Christmas Eve reunion has been an annual night of debauchery and hilarity. Now that they’re entering adulthood, the tradition is coming to an end, and to make it as memorable as possible, they set out to find the Nutcracka Ball – the Holy Grail of Christmas parties.

The new date has the comedy opening on a busy Thanksgiving weekend opposite Disney•Pixar’s The Good Dinosaur, Michael Dougherty’s Krampus, Ridley Scott’s The Martian and Jeff Nichols’ Midnight Special.

The film is produced by Evan Goldberg, Seth Rogen, and James Weaver. The executive producers are Nathan Kahane, Joe Drake, Barbara A. Hall, Kyle Hunter, Ariel Shaffir, and Ben Waisbren.
