The Devil is a Part-Timer Season 1 Episode 13 Recap
Chiho dreams about Maou returning to Ente Isla and leaving her. Chiho tells Maou about the dream, and Maou says he doesn’t even have enough magic at the moment to go back there. During their shift, Kisaki asks them about what happened the previous night. Kamazuki shows up and explains that Maou saved them from a suspicious person. After that, they find Sariel in the freezer. Sariel sees Kisaki and immediately falls in love with her. However, Kisaki just gets creeped out by him.
Emi also dreams about Maou — but in her dream, he takes over Hatagaya. Emi decides to visit Maou and the others later that night to check up on them. Chiho gets jealous of Kamazuki feeding Maou and asks Maou whose food he prefers. Maou tells Chiho that it would be easier if the two took turns cooking. Ashiya arrives and asks for some time off but doesn’t say why. Emi gets suspicious and calls Emeralda about it. Chiho and Emi also talk about it while keeping shelter from the rain.
While watching from afar, Emi sees a truckload of boxes delivered to Maou’s apartment. Emi calls Emeralda again, and Emeralda says there’s nothing suspicious happening on their end. At work, Maou asks for a sudden shift change which worries Chiho. The next day, Emi and Chiho decide to follow Maou around. They learn that Maou and the others took extra jobs to pay for the trackers. As for the several boxes, Maou was unaware of them, and it turns out Urushihara fell victim to a purchasing scam. Maou goes to the company’s office to ask for a refund, but the manager tells them that Urushihara has signed a contract. With Emi’s help, they get a refund, and Maou and Ashiya celebrate at a restaurant. In the post-credits, Maou is walking in the rain. Emi shows up and hands him an umbrella.
