One Piece Episode 1022 Recap
Chopper struggles to finish the antidote as the virus continues to take over his body completely. The others also struggle to fight the virus since their stamina is running out. Meanwhile, Apoo tells his subordinates to kill Chopper and retrieve the antibody. Although, the subordinates acknowledge that it will be challenging to defeat Drake and Hyogoro. Despite being affected by the Ice Oni virus, Hyogoro remains a formidable opponent. However, he asks his comrades to kill him before wholly becoming a monster.
Multiple people start attacking Hyogoro, but they are no match against him. While fighting, Hyogoro thinks about Oden and wishes they challenged Kaido years ago. However, Hyogoro also realizes the current raid is perfect timing. Plus, he is happy to have mentored Luffy. He believes in Luffy and is confident that he will be able to save Wano. Meanwhile, the battle on the rooftop continues. After taking a short nap, Luffy wakes up and joins the fight.
Back to the Live Floor, Queen notices Hyogoro has almost defeated all of their subordinates. Queen launches an attack against Hyogoro, but Marco intercepts it. Queen and Marco exchange blows, and Marco’s kick eventually sends Queen flying. On the other hand, Chopper finishes the antidote and tests it on himself. Unfortunately, the ones affected by the virus have turned into monsters, including Hyogoro. Omasa tries to bring Hyogoro’s sense of self back. Since the virus has fully turned Hyogoro into an Ice Oni, Hyogoro asks the samurai to kill him.
