James McAvoy sounds like he’s going to be going bald. The X-Men: Days of Future Past star is set to reprise his role as Professor Charles Xavier in Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Apocalypse, set for release in 2016. The star hints that this time, however, he’s going going to be looking a bit more like the comic book iteration of Professor X.
“I’ll be older in this one,” McAvoy tells The Huffington Post “[And template=’galleryview’]–> I think I’m losing my hair finally.”
Little is known about the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse, though we do know that it will take place in the 1980s and will focus primarily on the returning cast members from X-Men: First Class. The film will also see some of the original cast members return and will likely offer some younger versions of former characters as well (both Gambit and Nightcrawler have been rumored).
Bryan Singer returns to direct the film from a script by Simon Kinberg, Mike Dougherty, and Dan Harris. X-Men: Apocalypse is set for release on May 27, 2016.
