Persona Series Finally Hits Xbox With Game Pass Debut

Atlus and Xbox are teaming up to bring one of the most beloved RPG franchises to PC and Xbox. The upgraded editions of the last three entries in the Persona series, Persona 5 Royal, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 3 Portable, will all hit Xbox Game Pass, while 5 and 3 will hit PC for the first time.

Persona 3 was originally a PlayStation 2 title that was also released onto PSP in a remastered state. Both versions have been harder to play legitimately due to the age of the hardware involved. In contrast, Persona 4 already had a Steam release in 2020, but this will be the first time it hits a home console outside the PlayStation family.

Persona 5 Royal is the first of the three to release, hitting Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC on October 21 of this year. It debuted on PlayStation consoles back in March 2020 following the original game’s release stateside in 2017. This entry in the series also extended things out to Nintendo consoles with spin-offs and a Super Smash Bros. inclusion, but that never extended to a main game release on Switch.
