Hulu has released the first teaser for Mike, its newest biographical drama series about the life of legendary boxer Mike Tyson, which hails from the I, Tonya team. It is scheduled to make its debut on August 25.
The Mike teaser, which you can check out below along with the key art poster, provides us with our first look at Trevante Rhodes as the sports icon. It also highlights Tyson in various stages of his life including his childhood, his flourishing career, and tumultuous relationship with his first wife and actress Robin Givens, portrayed by Laura Harrier.

Mike is an “unauthorized and no-holds-barred look at the life of Mike Tyson – and it is one wild ride.” It stars Trevante Rhodes and Russell Hornsby, with guest stars Harvey Keitel, Laura Harrier, and Li Eubanks.
“The series explores the dynamic and controversial story of Mike Tyson,” reads the synopsis. “The 8-episode limited series explores the tumultuous ups and downs of Tyson’s boxing career and personal life – from being a beloved global athlete to a pariah and back again. Focusing the lens on Mike Tyson, the series examines class in America, race in America, fame and the power of media, misogyny, the wealth divide, the promise of the American Dream, and ultimately our own role in shaping Mike’s story.”

Mike is created and executive produced by Steven Rogers, with Karin Gist serving as the showrunner and executive producer. It is executive produced by the I, Tonya team including director Craig Gillespie, Clubhouse Pictures’ Bryan Unkeless and Scott Morgan, and LuckyChap’s Tom Ackerley and Margot Robbie.
It is a production by 20th Television. Executive producers are Claire Brown, Darin Friedman of Entertainment 360, Anthony Hemingway, Anthony Sparks, and Samantha Corbin-Miller.
