Netflix has released a nearly two-minute clip from The Gray Man, the highly-anticipated action-thriller from directors Joe and Anthony Russo. The film will be released in select theaters on July 15, followed by its streaming debut on July 22.
The Gray Man clip, which you can check out below, features the first meeting between Ryan Gosling’s Court Gentry and Chris Evans’ Lloyd Hansen as they try to outsmart each other. It also includes Ana de Armas’ Dani Miranda, who shoots Lloyd with a tranquilizer.

Based on Mark Greaney’s 2009 novel, The Gray Man centers around a freelance assassin and former CIA operative named Court Gentry. Due to the betrayal of his own agency, he has been forced to become a fugitive. The action thriller adaptation is described as a deadly duel between killers as Gentry is hunted across the globe by Lloyd Hansen, a former cohort of Gentry’s at the CIA.
Joining Gosling and Evans are Ana de Armas, Jessica Henwick, Wagner Moura, Alfre Woodard, Regé-Jean Page, Billy Bob Thornton, Julia Butters, Dhanush, Scott Haze, Calla Mulvey, Eme Ikwuakor, Michael Gandolfini, Sam Lerner, Robert Kazinsky, and DeObia Oparei.

The Gray Man is directed by Avengers: Endgame filmmakers Joe and Anthony Russo from a script written by Joe Russo with “a polish” by AGBO’s Co-Presidents of Story and Marvel Cinematic Universe writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. The intention for the project is to create a new franchise on a “James Bond-level” with a reported budget of upwards of $200 million.
The film is being produced by AGBO’s the Russo Brothers and Mike Larocca along with Joe Roth and Jeff Kirschenbaum for Roth Kirschenbaum.
