Peacock has dropped the Girls5eva Season 2 trailer for the forthcoming return of the hit musical comedy series. The series is scheduled to make its return on Thursday, May 5.
The video, which you can check out below, features the revived girl group as they finally get to work on their comeback album. It highlights their hectic recording process, as well as the the group’s efforts to boost listenership.

“A one-hit-wonder girl group from the ’90s that was churned through the pop music machine reunites to give their dreams another shot,” reads the synopsis. “This time they’ll try again on their own terms.”
Girls5eva is being led by Sara Bareilles as Dawn, Renée Elise Goldsberry as Wickie, Busy Phillips as Summer, and Paula Pell as Gloria. It also features Daniel Breaker, Jonathan Hadary, and Ashley Park.

Girls5eva is created and executive produced Meredith Scardino (The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt). Executive producers are nine-time Emmy winner Tina Fey, Robert Carlock, Jeff Richmond, David Miner and Eric Gurian. It is a co-production by Little Stranger, Bevel Gears, 3 Arts and Universal Television.
