Originally set to release on May 24, 2022, Forspoken is the first title from Luminous Productions following 2019’s Final Fantasy XV, a game that the developer helped out with after it was initially assembled from various employees working on that Final Fantasy installment. Forspoken is also set to be a PlayStation 5 console exclusive for the first two years of its existence when it comes out, making it one of the biggest and most anticipated titles for Sony’s newest  system.

The hype around Forspoken mainly stems from the variety of talent surrounding the game. A number of high-profile industry members are working on the game, including writers Gary Whitta (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) and Amy Hennig (the original Uncharted trilogy), as well as composer Bear McCreary, who is known for his work on 2018’s God of War.
