Star Wars: Episode VII’s Domhnall Gleeson Joins The Revenant

Domhnall Gleeson is the latest name to join the cast of Alejandro González Iñárritu’s western project, The Revenant. Variety reports that the upcoming star of J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: Episode VII will join the previously-attached Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hardy and Will Poulter in the New Regency film.

Based on the novel by Michael Punke, The Revenant is about a frontiersman who wants to get revenge on a couple of men who left him for dead after being mauled by a bear.

Gleeson also recently starred opposite Rachel McAdams and Bill Nighy in last year’s About Time. He can seen coming up playing opposite Michael Fassbender in Frank, opening August 15.

Adapted by Inarritu with Mark L. Smith, The Revenant is produced by Steve Golin, Keith Redmon and David Kanter will start shooting this fall.
