Searchlight Pictures has revealed the Nightmare Alley featurette for Guillermo del Toro’s upcoming star-studded thriller, which is currently slated to arrive in theaters on December 17.
The video, which you can check out below, features commentary from some of the main cast including Cate Blanchett, Willem Dafoe, and Ron Perlman as they talked about Guillermo del Toro’s incredible creative vision for the film. Meanwhile, the Oscar-winning filmmaker also opened up about the film’s neo-noir genre and how he used shooting techniques from the 1930s to spotlight its main characters. Del Toro also went on to describe it as a movie that celebrates cinematic style.

Based on William Lindsay Gresham’s novel of the same name, Nightmare Alley follows an ambitious young carny with a talent for manipulating people with a few well-chosen words hooks up with a female psychiatrist who is even more dangerous than he is.
Joining Oscar nominee Bradley Cooper (A Star is Born) as Stanton Carlisle are multi-award winning-actresses Cate Blanchett (The Aviator) as Dr. Lilith Ritter, Toni Collette (Hereditary) as Zeena, Rooney Mara (Carol) as Molly along with Oscar-nominee Willem Dafoe (The Lighthouse) as Clem Hoately, Ron Perlman (Hellboy) as Bruno, Mark Povinelli (Water for Elephants), David Strathairn (Billions) as Pete, Richard Jenkins (The Shape of Water) as Ezra, and Holt McCallany (Mindhunter) as Anderson.

Nightmare Alley is directed by Oscar-winner Guillermo del Toro from a screenplay he co-wrote with Kim Morgan. Morgan and J. Miles Dale through TSG Entertainment are serving as producers. Searchlight Pictures has worldwide distribution rights to the film.
