Meryl Streep, Kit Harrington, and Matthew Rhys will lead an ensemble cast for a new, eight-episode anthology series on climate change for Apple TV+. The series will be called Extrapolations.

According to a recent report from The Hollywood Reporter, the three actors have all been cast in starring roles, joining a crew that will also include the likes of Sienna Miller, Gemma Chan, Tahar Rahim, Daveed Diggs, David Schwimmer, and Adarsh Gourav. Additional actors are also set to be announced in the future.
The series is an anthology that tells various interconnected stories that all deal with climate change. These stories will deal with everything from how the planet is changing to how those changes affect various, everyday actions for people, including love, faith, work, and family.
Extrapolations will be written by Scott Z. Burns, with The Morning Show’s production company Media Res producing the upcoming series.

“The only thing we know for sure about the future is that we are all going there together — and we’re taking with us our hopes, our fears, our appetites, our creativity, our capacity for love and our predilection to cause pain,” said Burns. “These are the same tools that storytellers have been using since the beginning of time. Our show is just using them to keep time from running out.”
