Not too much is known about Marvel Studios’ upcoming Disney+ show Secret Invasion, but thanks to a recent report from Murphy’s Multiverse, fans may have a better idea of what to expect from Kingsley Ben-Adir’s character.

A newcomer to the world of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, not too much is officially known about Ben-Adir’s character in the series. However, Murphy’s Multiverse is reporting that he will be playing a Skrull that finds himself “up against Nick Fury and Talos” throughout the series. The report goes on to mention that Ben-Adir’s Skrull character will also be revealed to have had a long history with Talos, the Skrull introduced in Captain Marvel.
Of course, this report doesn’t open up too much in terms of the plot, but it does go to show that Marvel may focus on bridging the gap between the Kree-Skrull War and present-day events in the series. Based on Brian Michael Bendis, Leinil Francis Yu, Mark Morales, and Laura Martin’s comic book series, Disney+’s Secret Invasion series will be led by MCU mainstay Samuel L. Jackson as he reprises his role as Nick Fury for the twelfth time since first portraying the character in 2008’s Iron Man. He will be teaming up with Captain Marvel‘s Ben Mendelsohn, who is returning as Talos, the pseudo-leader of the Skrulls.
Joining them are MCU newcomers Ben-Adir (One Night in Miami) as the series’ main villain, Oscar winner Olivia Colman (The Crown), Emmy nominee Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones), Killian Scott (Dublin Murders), and Christopher McDonald (Happy Gilmore), with Carmen Ejogo (Fantastic Beasts) recently rumored to be in negotiations to join the series.
