The anime adaptation of the comic is set to release later this year on Netflix. There will be 13 episodes in total and follows the story of a final heist put on by a small-time crook. It will officially launch on November 25, 2021.

Millar explained that he came up with the series since he wanted to make something focused on villains rather than superheroes and that he was a fan of Akira and other anime, so he’s thrilled to see an anime made of the series. Voicing the main character of Johnny will be Tsuda Kenjiro.

Also credited is Stanislas Brunet for concept design.
