The classic duo was announced by the developers on the PlayStation Blog, with a brief promo trailer later going on YouTube. Despite the characters being two separate people, they will play as one complete character, similar to the Ice Climbers in the Super Smash Bros. series. With the addition of Ren & Stimpy into the game, the confirmed roster for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is now 18, with potentially even more characters to be added in the future.
