Netflix has finally dropped the first Don’t Look Up teaser trailer for Adam McKay’s upcoming star-studded sci-fi black comedy film, which will be led by Oscar winners Leonardo DiCaprio, and Jennifer Lawrence. The highly-anticipated film is currently slated to arrive in select theaters on December 10 and will be available for streaming on December 24.
The teaser, which you can check out below along with the first-look photos, begins with a very anxious Leonardo DiCaprio, whose character is seemingly having a panic attack over the responsibility of trying to tell everyone that the world is ending. It also gives us a preview of Meryl Streep as the U.S. president, who along with Jonah Hill’s character is trying to dismiss the “world is ending” claims from DiCaprio and Lawrence’s two low-level astronomers.

Don’t Look Up is written and directed by acclaimed filmmaker Adam McKay. The film will feature an all-star ensemble cast led by Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence as two low-level astronomers, who must go on a giant media tour to warn mankind of an approaching comet that will destroy planet earth.
“Kate Dibiasky, an astronomy grad student, and her professor Dr. Randall Mindy make an astounding discovery of a comet orbiting within the solar system,” reads the official synopsis. “The problem — it’s on a direct collision course with Earth. The other problem? No one really seems to care. Turns out warning mankind about a planet-killer the size of Mount Everest is an inconvenient fact to navigate. With the help of Dr. Oglethorpe, Kate and Randall embark on a media tour that takes them from the office of an indifferent President Orlean and her sycophantic son and Chief of Staff, Jason, to the airwaves of The Daily Rip, an upbeat morning show hosted by Brie and Jack. With only six months until the comet makes impact, managing the 24-hour news cycle and gaining the attention of the social media obsessed public before it’s too late proves shockingly comical — what will it take to get the world to just look up?!”
Joining them are Rob Morgan, Jonah Hill, Mark Rylance, Tyler Perry, Timothée Chalamet, Ron Perlman, Ariana Grande, Scott Mescudi, Himesh Patel, Melanie Lynskey, Michael Chiklis, Tomer Sisley with Cate Blanchett and Meryl Streep. It is also expected to feature Matthew Perry, Chris Evans, and more.
