Black Widow star and Oscar nominee Scarlett Johansson is the latest cast member to join Wes Anderson’s next feature project, according to Deadline. The untitled film, rumored to be a love story set in Europe, is currently in production in Spain.

Johansson will be joining the previously announced Tom Hanks, Adrien Brody, Margot Robbie, Billy Murray, Jason Schwartzman, Rupert Friend, and Tilda Swinton in the movie written and directed by Anderson. Plot and character details are currently being kept under wraps.
Meanwhile, Anderson’s highly-anticipated dramedy romance The French Dispatch will finally release on October 22, 2021, following its Cannes Film Festival debut. Brody, Murray, Swinton along with Frances McDormand, Benicio Del Toro, Timothée Chalamet, Owen Wilson, Willem Dafoe, Edward Norton, Saoirse Ronan, Elisabeth Moss, Liev Schreiber, and many more star in the film.
The French Dispatch is described as a love letter to journalists set in an outpost of an American newspaper in a fictional 20th-century French city centering on three storylines that bring to life a collection of stories published in “The French Dispatch” magazine.

Johansson previously voiced a character in Anderson’s 2018 stop-motion feature Isle of Dogs. The new project will serve as her first live-action collaboration with the Oscar-winning filmmaker.
