Knives Out 2 Set Photos Confirm Ethan Hawke’s Casting

As production continues on Rian Johnson’s Knives Out 2 in Greece, the first behind-the-scenes photos from the set of Netflix’s star-studded whodunnit sequel have finally arrived online. The Knives Out 2 set photos, which you can check out below, provided us our first look at most of the main cast including Daniel Craig return as Benoit Blanc along with Kate Hudson, Kathryn Hahn, and more.

In addition, the photos have also confirmed that Oscar nominee Ethan Hawke has indeed joined the all-star cast as he was also seen filming a scene with Army of the Dead star Dave Bautista. It’s unclear if Hawke is the only surprise cast member for the project or if fans should also expect to see appearances from other unannounced stars.

Knives Out 2 will once again be written and directed by Rian Johnson. It will be produced by Johnson and Ram Bergman. The first film had grossed over $311 million at the worldwide box office and had also received acclaimed and multiple award nominations including an Oscar nomination for Best Original Screenplay.

Further details about the plot and its characters are still being kept under wraps, but Daniel Craig is expected to reprise his role as private detective Benoit Blanc. Just like the first film, Rian Johnson has assembled another star-studded cast who will be joining Craig in the second installment.

This includes Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy), Edward Norton (Fight Club), Janelle Monáe (Hidden Figures), Kathryn Hahn (WandaVision), Leslie Odom Jr. (Hamilton), Kate Hudson (Almost Famous), Madelyn Cline (Outer Banks), and Jessica Henwick (Love and Monsters).

Knives Out featured an all-star cast led by Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, Jamie Lee Curtis, Toni Collette, LaKeith Stanfield, and more. It followed the mystery behind the murder of rich novelist Harlan Thrombey, portrayed by the late Christopher Plummer in one of his final movies.
