Per Deadline, the Kevin Costner/Diane Lane drama Let Him Go topped the weekend box office with a $4.1M opening weekend from 2,454 theaters. The film, directed by Thomas Bezucha, about a couple grieving over the loss of their son, collected $1.47M on Friday and then jumped to $1.56M on Saturday (+6%) and is expected to collect $1.07M on Sunday.
This is the second consecutive film from Focus Features to top the box office charts after the thriller Come Play’s surprise debut over Halloween weekend. That film collected $1.4M in its second week of release (-45%) and has so far hauled in $5.3M total.

Third place belongs to the Robert DeNiro comedy War With Grandpa ($1.4M/$13.3M total), while Liam Neeson’s action-drama Honest Thief added $1.1M to its $11.2M 5-week total.
Elsewhere, Christopher Nolan’s Tenet brought in $905K and increased its domestic total to $55M. Worldwide the film has grossed $350.8M.
