Hitting theaters just in time for Valentine’s Day, director Shana Feste’s (Country Strong) Endless Love brings to the screen a contemporary update of author Scott Spencer’s 1979 novel of the same name, previously adapted for the screen by Franco Zeffirelli in 1981.
Alex Pettyfer stars as David, a high school graduate who, in the midst of a summer of infinite possibilties, meets and falls in love with Gabriella Wilde’s Jade. While their young passion for one another seems to inspire almost everyone around them (including Jade’s mother, Joely Richardson’s Ann), the girl’s father, Hugh (Bruce Greenwood) is decidedly less than impressed with David and begins to find a way to tear the couple apart.
ComingSoon.net sat down with Pettyfer, Richardson, Greenwood and Feste to discuss how they went about building the new film. We also asked Pettyfer about recent rumors that he auditioned for J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: Episode VII. Check out his response and the rest of the interviews in the player below and catch Endless Love in theaters February 13.
