Paul Walker’s Brick Mansions Will Open April 25

The sudden and tragic passing of actor Paul Walker last November left a lot of questions about his completed projects including the remake of the French action-thriller District B13, Brick Mansions, which would team Walker with original star and parkour artist David Belle. Relativity Media has decided to release it on April 25 of this year.

Written by Luc Besson and directed by Camille Delamarre, the remake moves the action to Detroit which has been overrun by violence, drugs and corruption. Walker plays undercover cop Damien Collier who must team with a street thug (Belle) whose girlfriend has been kidnapped by a drug lord with a plot to destroy the city.

It will open against the supernatural thriller The Quiet Ones and the comedies Walk of Shame and The Other Woman.

At the same time, Relativity Media has moved the family found footage movie Earth to Echo off that original date and moved it to the 4th of July weekend on July 3, putting it up against Deliver Us From Evil and Melissa McCarthy’s Tammy.
