Janelle Monáe has released the official Homecoming Season 2 trailer for Amazon Prime Video’s psychological thriller series, debuting on Friday, May 22. You can check out the trailer below as well as the new key art and photos in the gallery!

In Homecoming Season 2, Grammy Award-nominated singer-songwriter Janelle Monáe (Hidden Figures) will now be leading the second season as she portray the role of an army vet named Jackie, who is described as a tenacious woman who finds herself floating in a canoe, with no memory of how she got there — or even who she is. Her character wakes in a rowboat adrift a lake, with no memory of how she got there — or even who she is. Her ensuing search for identity will lead her into the heart of the Geist Group, the unconventional wellness company behind the Homecoming Initiative.

Joining Monáe are returning cast members Stephan James (If Beale Street Could Talk) and Hong Chau (Downsizing), who reprising their roles as army vet Walter Cruz and Geist employee Audrey, respectively. Season 2 will also star Oscar winner Chris Cooper (Adaptation) as Geist CEO Leonard Geist and Emmy winner Joan Cusack (Shameless) as eccentric military woman Francine Bunda.

The series is created by Eli Bloomberg and Micah Bloomberg, who are also serving as executive producers along with Julia Roberts, Sam Esmail, Chad Hamilton, Alex Blumberg, Matt Lieber, and Chris Giliberti. Kyle Patrick Alvarez will be succeeding Esmail as the new director for the second season.

The first season of Homecoming starred Oscar winner Julia Roberts as Heidi Bergman, Stephan James as Walter Cruz, and Hong Chau as Audrey. It also featured Jeremy Allen White, Alex Karpovsky, Dermot Mulroney, Sydney Poitier, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Brooke Bloom, Ayden Mayeri and Jacob Pitts.

Season 1 had also earned three Golden Globe nominations in three major categories including Best Actress in a Television Series Drama for Roberts’ performance as a caseworker.
