When the news recently broke that Chris Pine had joined the cast of the upcoming Horrible Bosses 2, it was noted that, while Christoph Waltz had been eyeing a role, the Inglourious Basterds star would not be available for the production. That has now changed, Deadline is reporting, and Waltz will indeed appear in the Sean Anders film, playing Pine’s character’s father.
Pine and Waltz join Jason Bateman, Jason Sudeikis, Charlie Day and Jamie Foxx (all returning from the original). They’ll play a father-son duo who steal the main characters’ idea for a new invention.
Waltz recently won his second Academy Award for his work in Django Unchained and provided a voice for the animated adventure Epic. He’ll next be seen in Terry Gilliam’s The Zero Theorem.
Coming to theaters on November 26, 2014, Horrible Bosses 2 is produced by Brett Ratner and Jay Stern and executive produced by John Cheng and John Rickard.
