Horton Hears a Who! helmer Jimmy Hayward returns to animation this Friday for the animated comedy adventure Free Birds, featuring the voice talents of Owen Wilson, Woody Harrelson and Amy Poehler.
Reggie (Wilson) is a modern day turkey with a pretty sweet life. Presidentially pardoned, he does nothing with his days but eat pizza and watch tv. That all changes, though, when Jake (Harrelson) a no-nonsense (but none too bright) turkey arrives with a mission: He and Reggie are going to use a top-secret time machine to travel back to the very first Thanksgiving and change history so that turkey never becomes the main course. There, Reggie meets Jenny (Poehler), a 17th century turkey girl who has Reggie reconsidering exactly what he considers to be important in life.
