Aubrey Plaza has signed up to star in Netflix’s comedy Hope from directing team Jackie van Beek and Madeleine Sami, who made their directorial debut with the Taika Waititi produced The Breaker Upperers.

According to Deadline, the plot to the film is currently unknown. The report reveals that screenwriting duo Karen McCullah and Kirsten “Kiwi” Smith, the talented team behind such comedies such as Legally Blonde, 10 Things I Hate About You and She’s the Man, and are currently writing the Spice Girls movie for Paramount, penned the script and will serve as executive producers alongside Adam Wagner.
Plaza will also produce alongside Michael Costigan and Jason Bateman for Aggregate Films and Lundi Shackleton & Philippe Palacios for Les Espoirs Pictures.

The actress was recently seen in Child’s Play, and recently wrapped production on the suspense-drama Black Bear.
