Idris Elba is set to both produce and headline Red Crown Production’s upcoming adaptation of Uzodinma Iweala’s bestselling novel Beasts of No Nation. Deadline reports that Cary Fukunaga (Jane Eyre, Sin Nombre) will direct. Published in 2006, the book is officially described as follows:

While the war rages on, Agu becomes increasingly divorced from the life he had known before the conflict starteda life of school friends, church services, and time with his family still intact.
