Although no Paranormal Activity film will be hitting theaters in 2013, Paramount Pictures confirmed today that 2014 will be getting a double-helping of the “found footage” horror franchise. January 3 will see the release of the Latino-themed spinoff, now titled Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones, while Paranormal Activity 5 has been dated for October 24, 2014.
Described as a “cousin” to the franchise, Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones is scripted by Christopher Landon, will feature a Latino cast and will offer a storyline rooted in a Catholic-based investigation into the supernatural.
As with the rest of the series, Jason Blum and Oren Peli will produce.
