It’s Spidey vs. The Rhino in New Set Photos From The Amazing Spider-Man 2

Production on Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has hit day 73 and two very different glimpses at the set have arrived online. The first, pictured below, arrives courtesy of Webb’s Twitter feed alongside the caption, “The Future.” What it represents specifically, however, is anyone’s guess.

The second group of photos, which you can check out in our gallery, goes behind the scenes of an outdoor shoot involving Andrew Garfield’s Spidey taking down Paul Giamatti’s Aleksei Mikhailovich Sytsevich (who should go on to become the Rhino).

In the 2014 sequel, Peter Parker (Garfield) finds life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.

Also starring Shailene Woodley, Colm Feore, Sally Field and Chris Cooper, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 hits theaters on May 2, 2014.
