The former How I Met Your Mother star will play Dex Parios, a strong and assertive P.I. who solves the messes of others whilst neglecting her own troubled life. The character is described as “unapologetically sharp-witted” by the trade, a personality that fits Smulders quite nicely.

Along with the aforementioned How I Met Your Mother series, Smulders has enjoyed a recurring role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Agent Maria Hill, who was last seen turning to dust at the end of Avengers: Infinity War. Though, the character is expected to play a part in the upcoming Spider-Man: Far From Home. The actress most recently voiced Wonder Woman in The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part, and portrayed Mother on Netflix’s A Series of Unfortunate Events.
