Following the recent addition of MCU star Sebastian Stan, Deadline reports that Haley Bennett (The Girl on the Train), Jason Clarke (Pet Sematary) and Riley Keough (It Comes at Night) have officially joined the ensemble cast of director Antonio Campos’ upcoming film adaptation The Devil All the Time for Netflix.

The Devil All the Time film is based on Donald Ray Pollock’s 2011 novel of the same name which is set in rural southern Ohio in a town called Knockemstiff over the course of two decades and surrounding a cast of dark and bizarre characters, including a serial killing couple, a faith-testing preacher and a corrupt sheriff. The official synopsis reads as follows:
“In a place called Knockemstiff, Ohio, a forgotten backwoods of this country, where a storm of faith, violence and redemption is brewing. Out of desperation to save his dying wife, Willard Russell turns to prayer which succumbs to sacrifice. This sets protagonist Arvin, Willard’s son (Holland), on his path from bullied kid to a man who knows when to take action. “The Devil All the Time” involves a nefarious cast of characters that is told across two decades.”
The film’s cast also includes Tom Holland (Spider-Man: Far From Home), Good Time‘s Robert Pattinson, Crimson Peak‘s Mia Wasikowska, Suspiria‘s Mia Goth, The Sinner‘s Tracy Letts and It star Bill Skarsgard. It is set to be produced by Randall Poster (Destroyer), Riva Marker (Wildlife) and Jake Gyllenhaal, marking his second upcoming collaboration with Netflix after the horror-thriller Velvet Buzzsaw, which will debut on February 1, and his third after having starred in the 2017 fantasy drama adventure Okja.
The film will be directed by Campos who also co-wrote the adaptation along with Paulo Campos. Randall Poster, Jake Gyllenhaal and Riva Marker of Ninestories Production are set to produce the film. The Devil All the Time‘s production is scheduled to begin this February.

Bennett’s film credits include Marley & Me, The Equalizer, The Magnificent Seven and Rules Don’t Apply. While Keough is also known as the granddaughter of the King of Rock & Roll, Elvis Presley. She has appeared in the films Logan Lucky, Mad Max: Fury Road and Hold the Dark.
Clarke is best known for his roles in White House Down, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Terminator Genisys and The Great Gatsby. He recently starred in Academy Award-winning director Damien Chazelle’s First Man alongside Ryan Gosling and Claire Foy. He will next be seen in horror film Pet Sematary which is set to premiere this April.
