Michael Caine and Jennifer Garner have joined the cast of Dan Fogelman’s Imagine, Deadline reports. They join Al Pacino, Annette Bening and Bobby Cannavale in the John Lennon-inspired comedy.
The film sees Pacino’s character, an aging rock star, discovering that he has an adult son after reading a never-opened letter from John Lennon.
The film is planned as the directorial debut of Fogelman, who also provided the screenplay. His credits include Crazy, Stupid, Love, Tangled and The Guilt Trip.
Caine will be back on the big screen later this month in Louis Leterrier’s Now You See Me while Garner can next be seen Jean-Marc Vallee’s Dallas Buyer’s Club opposite Matthew McConaughy and Jared Leto.
