It’s been 15 years since writer/director Quentin Tarantino finished his action opus Kill Bill, with Volume 1 and Volume 2 grossing a combined $333 million worldwide in 2003 and 2004, respectively. All these years later the film’s star Uma Thurman has a 20-year-old daughter named Maya Hake who is a rising young actress thanks to the upcoming Stranger Things Season 3 and Tarantino’s own Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. ComingSoon.net is doing a poll to see if our readers think there should be a Kill Bill Volume 3, and if Maya Hawke should play Thurman/Beatrix Kiddo’s daughter B.B. in it. Vote in the polls below!

Should Quentin Tarantino actually make a Kill Bill Volume 3?
PRO: Tarantino himself was the first one to suggest a Volume 3 as a film he’d like to make happen, referring to the series as his own personal “Dollars Trilogy” in reference to the Sergio Leone westerns that inspired him.
“I was going to do a new one every ten years,” Tarantino said in 2004. “But I need at least fifteen years before I do this again. I’ve already got the whole mythology: Sofie Fatale will get all of Bill’s money. She’ll raise Nikki, who’ll take on The Bride. Nikki deserves her revenge every bit as much as The Bride deserved hers.”
In the years since Tarantino has been non-comittal about the project, although as recently as 2016 it was rumored he had discussed the threequel with Uma Thurman. It would also be amazing to see how Beatrix and B.B.’s relationship has evolved in the ensuing years. Are they fighting side-by-side? Are they estranged? Is B.B. someone Beatriz is going on a mission to save from her old enemies? There’s a lot of potential.
CON: Despite the minor loose-ends, there is a major sense of finality to Kill Bill Volume 2, with Beatriz happily reunited with her daughter and Bill, well, killed. Is Nikki’s revenge after the death of her mom Vernita Green (Vivica A. Fox) really enough of a foundation to build a sequel or sequels on? Would there be a long-lost son named Bill Jr. just to make sure the title made sense? There’s also the issue of Tarantino’s own threatened retirement after a certain number of films. Do we really want him to waste the few remaining movies he supposedly has left in him rehashing Kill Bill? Wouldn’t you rather see Tarantino’s take on the horror genre, or a sci-fi film like his planned Star Trek movie?
Should Maya Hawke play Beatrix Kiddo’s daughter B.B.?
PRO: For one, the fashion model and Juilliard-trained actress Maya Hawke is Uma Thurman’s flesh and blood daughter, and looks a helluva-lot like her if you ask us. It could be amazing to see the real mother/daughter chemistry the two have, and elevate the action antics with an extra layer of reality. She’s also the exact right age, and has even developed a working relationship with Tarantino playing the role of “Flower Child” in his upcoming 1960’s-set film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
CON: While Hawke may be an up-and-coming actress, the general public isn’t very aware of her or her talent level yet. Being cast in the Tarantino film and Stranger Things is a sign of the faith people have in her, but her only other roles so far have been an indie thriller called Ladyworld and a PBS adaptation of Little Women. There’s also the issue of Perla Haney-Jardine, the actress who portrayed the young B.B. in Kill Bill Volume 2. She’s still active in Hollywood, having recently starred in the horror film Midnighters and played the daughter of Michael Fassbender’s Steve Jobs in that 2015 biopic. Should she get priority over Hawke for originating the role?
