Daniel Radcliffe has signed on to play the leading role in an adaptation of Jake Adelstein’s Tokyo Vice, Deadline reports. Commercials director Anthony Mandler is set to make his big screen directorial debut with J.T. Rogers providing the screenplay.
The nonfiction book, published in 2009, is officially described as follows:

Radcliffe, still best known for his iconic eight-film portrayal of Harry Potter, can be seen coming up in the Beat generation murder mystery Kill Your Darlings and in Alexandre Aja’s supernatural thriller Horns.
