Following the addition of Emmy Award-winning actor Jon Cryer as the iconic DC villain Lex Luthor, TVLine reports that Jonathan Bennett has signed on for a guest-starring role in The CW’s Supergirl. Best known for his role in the 2004 teen comedy Mean Girls, Bennet has also appeared on TV shows such as Awkward and Veronica Mars.
Bennett will be portraying the role of Quentin, who is described as a “wide-eyed government attaché who is grateful when Supergirl saves his life. However, when he shows his true colors by attending an anti-alien rally, Supergirl aims to prove to Quentin that not all aliens are bad.” The new character is set to make its debut on episode 14 titled “Stand and Deliver”.
Supergirl stars Melissa Benoist as Kara Danvers/Supergirl, Mehcad Brooks as James Olsen, Chyler Leigh as Alex Danvers, Jeremy Jordan as Winslow ‘Winn’ Schott, Katie McGrath as Lena Luthor, Jess Rath as Brainiac 5, and David Harewood as Hank Henshaw/J’onn J’onnz. New to the cast for the fourth season is Sam Witwer as Agent Liberty, Rhona Mitra as Mercy Graves, and Bruce Boxleitner as Vice President Baker.
Based on the DC characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, the series is executive produced by Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Robert Rovner and Jessica Queller. Supergirl is produced by Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.
